Kevin Connelly Skateboards Around the World

Prague, Czech Republic (PRWEB) June 9, 2007 -- PLUS Prague Hostel and Art Gallery is proud to be hosting Kevin Connolly from 25 June - 5 July and exhibiting his photographic study.

'The People are Curious'

Kevin is a championship skier, world traveller, photographer and skateboarder. He has also just completed a year of study at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch NZ -- halfway around the world from his native Montana, USA.

What makes this so interesting? Kevin was born without legs.

Kevin prefers to get around on his skateboard rather than wheelchairs. When the terrain is unfriendly for the skateboard he walks on his hands.

Kevin placed second at this year's X Games as a mono-skier.

Travelling around the world, Kevin captures the expressions of people from his unique vantage point as they see him getting around on his skateboard. The point of the photo essay is around the world people react in the same way, they are curious.

"A beggar in Boston looks exactly the same way as a banker in Vienna. A police officer in New York City looks the same as an old woman in Dublin," said Connolly

Kevin will be giving a presentation to coincide with his exhibition followed by a launch party on Friday 29 June. To arrange an interview with Kevin prior to the opening, please contact Ed Dischler at Plus Prague.
